Just because a floor is made from wood, doesn’t mean it’s environmentally friendly or sustainably sourced. At Ted Todd, all of our wood is sustainably sourced and the majority of our products are FSC ® or PEFC-certified. We’ve been FSC ® compliant since 1997, long before sustainability was seen as a mainstream issue. This ensures that all wood used in our floors is from responsible and sustainably managed forests. Unlike other brands, we’ll never charge extra for FSC ® or PEFC certification. They will always come as standard with a Ted Todd floor. RE-USE AND RECLAIM While we don’t want our floors to be replaced, you can rest assured that they are fully recyclable when the time comes. We know that well made floors using high quality, environmentally friendly timber are some of the best flooring choices around. A lot of claims are made justifying the use of single-use man-made options, but the reality is that wood floors like ours are much healthier for indoor environments than any plastic based alternatives. That’s because unlike man-made options, Ted Todd wood floors are VOC and SVOC free.
