A guide to construction
Engineered floors are crafted from layers of solid wood, arranged in opposing directions to enhance strength and stability. Available in thicknesses from 10mm to 20mm, each floor is designed for lasting performance.

Wear layers and re-sanding

The top layer, known as the wear layer, ranges from 3mm to 6mm. The thicker the wear layer, the more times you can sand and re-finish, extending its lifespan.

Fidbox A Fidbox is a battery powered device installed beneath a floor to measure temperature and humidity. Fitted by your installer, it connects to an app so you can monitor conditions. We recommend installing a Fidbox per room or every 50m². Thermostat control We recommend installing a wall-mounted thermostat and floor probe in each room to help maintain a balanced floor temperature.
